Mona Carpenter is President and founder of Mentor One, LLC, located in Dallas, Texas USA. The firm was established in 1986 to assist independent insurance agencies and banks develop, enhance, and modify their prospecting, sales, and marketing efforts.

Ms. Carpenter obtained a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska. She graduated with a major in Consumer Affairs and minors in both Marketing and Economics. Following college she entered the insurance industry, working for a large independent agency in Nebraska. There she assisted in the development of
one of the first sales centers in the country, in addition to providing sales management and selling large commercial accounts.
Mona has worked with and continues to assist hundreds of insurance agencies throughout the United States, Canada, and Australia, helping them make positive changes in their approach to selling. It is a humanistic model built on long-term relationships, not simply short-term financial gain. Her approach is to work with each agency individually by meeting with the management team – examining
strengths and weaknesses and developing targeted strategies that will maximize their sales staff, carrier relationships, and geographic region.
Ms. Carpenter’s passion is mentoring new producers in the insurance industry. The producer’s first-year training is critical to their long term success, and unfortunately too many agencies’ training has been silent. The lack of a formal mentoring/training plan becomes very expensive for the agency as their new hires seldom become financially successful under their watch.
In addition to consulting, Mona has authored many articles and consistently addresses thousands of agents and principles in her numerous speaking engagements throughout the country.
